Description
A Stately Addition to your Cactus CollectionThe Peruvian Apple Cactus is easy to grow, and needs very little TLC to thrive indoors or out. As the name implies, the plant originates in the deserts of South America. This succulent is slow growing, but will reward you with pristine white flowers throughout the summer. Lucky gardeners may even enjoy the fruit, which some say tastes like a cross between an overripe apple and a melon. The plant prefers plenty of sunlight and fast-draining cactus soil. Water often during hot summer months, less frequently during winter. If grown outdoors, the plant can reach up to 30 ft. in height. If you chose it for inside your home, make sure to place it in a spot that gets plenty of light.
